Excel is still not dead and meetups are back!

After a long hiatus, the Financial Modelling in Excel Meetup Group is finally back up and running in Melbourne, along with a brand-new major sponsor SAP / Signavio.

This meetup group will bring together many accounting and finance professionals, and data enthusiasts, who are keen to keep abreast of the rapidly evolving technologies that are impacting the world of accounting but also have an opportunity to network and collaborate.

Hosted by a world-leading expert in Financial Modelling and Data Analytics, Lance Rubin, who will host and present many sessions over the coming months along with other guest speakers.

Lance has 2 decades of corporate financial modelling experience across financial and professional services having worked at two of the Big 4 accounting firms (PwC & KPMG), Investec Bank Corporate Finance & Advisory and National Australia Bank.

Lance was the co-author of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand study guide on Financial Modelling which was part of the CA (ANZ) elective program for qualifying accountants; is a certified trainer for the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) in addition to running courses in Power BI and data analytics; has been an international speaker for the past 3 years at the Global Power BI Summit amongst other leading experts primarily focused on Accounting and Finance users of the world; and was a judge at the world’s first Financial Modelling Innovation Awards.

Lance is also the CEO and Founder of Model Citizn, Chief Excel Officer of EXL Cloud and Chief Data Modeler for POTENZA, amongst many other consulting and interim CFO roles.

Lance will open this re-launch with an overview of the current state of play in Financial Modelling, Excel, Power BI and AI.
If you have not looked into this recently to understand the changes over the past few years, this is definitely a meetup you don't want to miss.

Lance will touch on some of the topics planned for future meetups and explore the ways you can gain the most from attending these free sessions.

Snacks and drinks will be provided courtesy of the main sponsor SAP / Signavio who will also be providing the venue in their amazing new offices in Southbank in the Melbourne CBD.

If you want to find out more, including the future topics that are going to be covered, be sure to register your attendance.
