Lance Rubin, CEO and Founder of Model Citizn

Lance has a wealth of financial modelling experience across financial and professional services having worked at two of the Big 4 accounting firms (PwC & KPMG), Investec Bank Corporate Finance & Advisory and National Australia Bank. 

Lance has 2 decades in corporate experience across professional services, investment and commercial banking,  

Lance was the co-author of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand study guide on Financial Modelling which was part of the CA (ANZ) elective program for qualifying accountants. 

Lance was a judge at the world’s first Financial Modelling Innovation Awards. 

Lance was also previously the CFO of fintech start-up Banjo (SME lender) and Sequel CFO whilst founding Model Citizn, a financial modelling, analytics and automation consultancy firm following his 20 years in corporate.  

Lance has run workshops across Australia & New Zealand on data analytics and data visualisation using Power BI on behalf of ACCA and CA ANZ.  

Lance has developed many online training and interactive workshops based on his experience. 

Lance is a certified trainer for the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) in addition to running courses in Power BI and data analytics.

Lance was also the co-founder of Full Stack Modeller, an online training platform for financial modellers. 

Lance is also the Chief Excel Office for EXL Cloud, an innovative software solution that helps accountants get more value from the cloud and their favourite app, Excel by automating cash flow and financial modelling  

Lance has been an international speaker for the past 2 years at the Global Power BI Summit amongst other leading experts primarily focused on Accounting and Finance.
